He subsequently continued to write for Le Figaro Magazine. Zemmour has appeared as a television personality in shows such as On n&#039;est pas couch on France 2 (2006\u20132011), \u00c7a se dispute on I-T\u00e9l\u00e9 (2003\u20132014) and Face \u00e0 l&#039;Info on CNews (since 2019). He has also appeared on Zemmour et Naulleau since 2011, a weekly debate evening hosted by Ana\u00efs Bouton on Paris Premi\u00e8re, in the company of literary critic \u00c9ric Naulleau. Zemmour worked in parallel for RTL from 2010 to 2019, first by hosting the radio show Z comme Zemmour, before joining Yves Calvi&#039;s television news as an analyst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zemmour has been the subject of much media discussion as a possible candidate in the 2022 presidential election. He remains publicly undecided about his candidacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>life and career<br>Early life<br>\u00c9ric Zemmour was born in Montreuil, then in Seine, today in Seine-Saint-Denis, on August 31, 1958, in a Jewish Algerian family of French nationality who came to mainland France during the Algerian War. In 2009, he was fired from Le Figaro after a controversy over statements he made, for which he was convicted of inciting racial discrimination. at Figaro Magazine, where he has since written a weekly column. He is also a political columnist at Spectacle du Monde. Despite his failure to be admitted to the National School of Administration, his status as a political journalist allowed him to be a member of the school&#039;s admissions committee in 2006.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zemmour supported attachmentism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Writer and essayist<br>Zemmour wrote biographies of \u00c9douard Balladur (Balladur, immobile \u00e0 grands pas) and Jacques Chirac (The Man Who Didn&#039;t Love Himself) as well as political essays. In 2006, he notably published The First Sex, a book on what he considers to be the feminization of society. He worked on the screenplay for the film In the Skin of Jacques Chirac by Michel Royer and Karl Z\u00e9ro, although the latter has stated that Zemmour&#039;s writing had limited use. In March 2010, with M\u00e9lancolie fran\u00e7aise (which won the Incorrect Book Prize), he revisited French history. Zemmour\u2019s 2014 book, The French Suicide, sold more than 400,000 copies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span id=\"de-polemiste-a-candidats-a-l8217election-presidentielle-francaise\">From Polemicist to Candidates for the French presidential election!<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A television and radio personality since September 2003, he participates every week in the show \u00c7a se dispute on the 24-hour news channel i&gt;T\u00e9l\u00e9 opposite Nicolas Domenach (Christophe Barbier until 2006). The channel decided to stop the show in December 2014. He also appeared on Friday p\u00eates on Canal+ until June 2006.
